...except to say a) that it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life and b) how the hell didn't I get the memo on it previously? 😎
That's very funny! It's a scene from the movie "Running Out of Luck", which I've never heard of. It's directed by Julian Temple, co-written by Temple & Jagger, and also features Dennis Hopper and Mick's wife at that time Jerry Hall, and it was made in Brazil. Wikipedia has a page on the movie.
No channels on my local cable TV have the movie. I found it on YouTube, it's on a Spanish-language channel "Irmãos do Rock". I have to sign in to watch it, so I signed in with my Google account. It's in English with large Spanish subtitles. No time to watch it tonight, but I'll check it out. Rip this joint: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTME8OVBVL4
Using the "Through The Past Darkly" cover is genius! I still don't believe that is Mick.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know where the clip is from?
ReplyDeleteCaptain Al
It's an extended Julien Temple video made for "Running Out Of Luck" from Jagger's solo album.
DeleteToo funny - watched it a few times over. The young boy mimicking Micks dance gyrations. Question, what was the album right before "Past" cover ? .
ReplyDeleteIt's "Qualquer Coisa" (transl. Anything) is a 1975 studio album by Caetano Veloso.
