I've heard it's excellent. Yes, 4 hours of any artist is a lot to digest, but I hoping to catch this one day.TJWoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00312890704167853988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-35870165092443445012007-12-19T14:19:00.000-05:002007-12-19T14:19:00.000-05:00"You Bowed Down" is a great song. Somebody just gave me a copy of the album, too -- I'd forgotten there were some pretty good tunes on it...a great Elvis Costello song, in particular.steve simelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13247393763004076992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-84737614627499033662007-12-19T09:08:00.000-05:002007-12-19T09:08:00.000-05:00Steve,Did you see McGuinn around the time of his c...Steve,

Did you see McGuinn around the time of his comeback CD "Back from Rio"? He had a pretty hot band at the time and they did a *GREAT* version of this song.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-22443852559699950732007-12-18T20:00:00.000-05:002007-12-18T20:00:00.000-05:00I saw them back in '78, in (of all places) Asbury ...I saw them back in '78, in (of all places) Asbury Park. (Opening acts: Carillo and UK - the Holdsworth/Jobson/Wetton/Bruford supergroup.) A good show, but slightly frustrating; I was expecting it to be great. Somehow that extra bit of oomph just wasn't there.

I missed the last bus back to NYC and ended up spending the night walking back up north and trying to hitch a ride. I swear at one point around 3 AM I was nearly run over by a bus with "? and The Mysterians" on the destination sign. That would have been a hell of a way to go.MBowenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17992038501958547302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-78317682961319191962007-12-18T17:32:00.000-05:002007-12-18T17:32:00.000-05:00No, I meant that very moment they were performing ...No, I meant that very moment they were performing this take on TV...steve simelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13247393763004076992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-63746185106105086282007-12-18T17:26:00.000-05:002007-12-18T17:26:00.000-05:001978...greatest rock & roll band in the world!
