For years, the lp was on the reference recordings list of the Absolute Sound audiophile magazine. The DVD-A version of it has a really nice sound - my subwoofer gets a nice workout with it.

All in all, I find the Vatican list much more to my liking than most such lists. Not sure what that says about me. I probably should not tell them, I have an "unofficial" version of IICORMN, called "If I Could Only Remember These Tunes".MJConroyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17372576965208949072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-7182318702253133602010-02-16T20:56:11.764-05:002010-02-16T20:56:11.764-05:00One of the sad things about the current British mu...One of the sad things about the current British music press is that they think that IICORMN is a great album, and that younger bands who sound like that (aimlessness plus slow tempos and general tunelessness) are brilliant.MBowenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17992038501958547302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-22871089498622489322010-02-16T13:47:08.267-05:002010-02-16T13:47:08.267-05:00Michael Jackson seems like an appropriate choice.Michael Jackson seems like an appropriate choice.danny1959https://www.blogger.com/profile/18215075133064151133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-73886875736096604452010-02-16T10:15:57.812-05:002010-02-16T10:15:57.812-05:00I think the choir at the Cathedral Basilica of the...I think the choir at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark was doing the Crosby tune when I arrived forty minutes late for mass this past Sunday.res ipsa loquiturhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05018035443337807830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-76307992594567938612010-02-16T09:51:32.390-05:002010-02-16T09:51:32.390-05:00I dig em both. It's one of my favorite things of theirs ever.

The album, as I said, is patchy, but the good stuff is out of this world, and I include "Laughing" in the good stuff.steve simelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13247393763004076992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-20760658231213703432010-02-16T01:44:19.003-05:002010-02-16T01:44:19.003-05:00That first one has a groove so sluggish it could o...That first one has a groove so sluggish it could only be the Grateful Dead. Although one must have to smoke a lot of strong ganja to listen to either. And with the inclusion of Floyd's Dark Side the Pope must really smoke dope! Strange article though, at least he likes The Beatles.FD13NYChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14964671671960423199noreply@blogger.com
