An Early Clue to the New Direction

From 1942, here's nice Jewish boys Borrah Minevitch and His Harmonica Rascals doing...well, whatever it is they do. Surrealism really doesn't cover it.

A coveted PowerPop No-Prize will be awarded to the first reader who divines the clip's relevance to Friday's Weekend Listomania.

I am with the plumber.

And that was as weird a thing as I have seen in a long damn time.

Thanks.

I knew this was going to be ridiculously easy.

I should have gone with my original idea -- "Train in Vain" by the Clash, where the harmonica is practically subliminal.

Anyway, Plumber, your coveted No Prize is winging its way to you as we speak.

And since the suspense is gone, I'll make sure to post the actual Listomania just the other side of midnight.

This is great! I never won a Marvel Comics "no prize" so this is a very special moment in this humble life!

PS Has the Weasel ever had the guts to resurface?

Living up to his name, the little weasel has yet to make a return appearance.

If you're out there pal, for gods sake e-mail me.
