Our sweet little friend Ollie has passed on.

Our hearts are broken, obviously, but it's something of a consolation to remember that he had a really great life and that he enriched ours immeasurably. Really, when all is said and done, you can't ask for much more than that.

It's really tough to lose one of the family. We humans still can learn a lot from animals. While you will never be able to replace him, mayeb you will find room in your life for another critter. Lot's of them need good homes.

With sympathy,

Gary

I always advise getting a replacement right away.

I don't. You can't replace a family member that easily.

My heart goes out to both of you. Having been there with Johanna, I know what you must be going through. The fact that you gave Ollie so much love, and got so much in return, is what matters most, though. I know it's no consolation now, but it's what will always remain when the grief passes.

My condolences for your loss. We lost one of our Burmese brothers - Dusk - early this year. I miss him every day. Hang in there, the pain fades a bit with each passing week. Pets really are part of our families.

Funny how much our animals come to mean to us. Deepest sympathies, Steve, from somebody who has been there.

Mrs. Georg3ge and I remember meeting him at BG's place. He was utterly charming, and very lucky to have both of you.

I am so sorry. Our cat (currently our only cat) just turned one and my daughter told me that sometimes she gets emotional holding her because she realizes that someday she won't be there.

It is very difficult to go through.
