Hey -- I Thought It Was 4000 Holes in Blackburn, Not Blackpool!!!

Okay, I hadn't seen this before last weekend; apologies to the hardcore Beatles fans amongst our readers for whom it may be old news.

In any case, that's pretty fab, no? Like, one of the best Beatles live performances ever committed to film?

Incidentally, the guys who introduce the lads are beloved Brit comic duo (Eric) Morecambe and (Ernie) Wise, who the great critic Kenneth Tynan once noted "had a unique dynamic -- Ernie was a comedian who wasn't funny, while Eric was a straight man who was." 😎

Holy s$@+, that's amazing! What a fantastic artifact, and such convincing evidence of their otherworldly talent. It's all there, how tight they were live, their humor, those harmonies...

Do you know how hard it is to play the drum part on Act Naturally? Ringo doesn't tire for a second, and he's freaking SINGING

Evidence of why they were the FAB 4!

Damn, this is the first time in my years that I think I have seen John sit behind an actual, live keyboard and play.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it's a Vox Continental? Great sound - Gotta give it to Paul he could sing those high counter verses - ah to be young.

I used to be upset that The Beatles only existed as a group until 1970. Now I’m thrilled that they ever existed at all and we got to hear and see them.

That was so great...they just played so fantastically...Ringo's drumming (esp on Ticket to Ride), their humor (Thanks Ringo, after Paul does yesterday, and the flowers bit that Harpo Marx could have done), John's singing, George's coolness (and sweet guitar playing). a 17 minute summary of their greatness. Thanks!!!

As incomprehensibly great as this is, it's made even better by the fact that they steadfastly refuse to take themselves seriously. Following up "Yesterday" with "Thanks, Ringo" was just priceless.

The Posture, the Poise... - the amount of woodsheding they had to do to present a performance like that - No Pedals, No Auto Tune, No Effects...truly astonishing

Capt., if this was your decision to post this Vid. I applaud you. This has made the message rounds of a 74 year old who has been able to pass this along to his siblings
(apologies to Steve) I use this 😎

Man, that is one tight band. Real pros, not wasting time. They're on top of the world and enjoying it. Unclear where the strings on 'Yesterday' are coming from, though.
