Pete also selected Angie to sing it.

VR

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-56275949247813810472015-08-04T11:55:40.146-04:002015-08-04T11:55:40.146-04:00http://www.filefactory.com/file/6crhl6nv1ggf/NEWNA...http://www.filefactory.com/file/6crhl6nv1ggf/NEWNAME.SET.rar%20KORG%20PA%20600%20800%20900%20A.K.O%20 korg pa600 800 900 Set plz get slow download and share link to ur friends use this model korgOrganisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18227282752597122946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-84993346248442662462015-08-03T21:46:00.748-04:002015-08-03T21:46:00.748-04:00I dunno...there were a few Towsertunes on "Wh...I dunno...there were a few Towsertunes on "Who Came First" that I kinda prefer. And *very* definitely his songs on the collaboration with Ronnie Lane, "Rough Mix", though you might not think of that as "solo" Pete. (Though I *do* still have the original single of "Peppermint Lump" in my collection, while "Empty Glass" and everything that followed are long gone...with the obvious exception of the "Scoop" collections.)

Didn't know about the Buggles connection, though.

But thanks for putting it up...it'd been years since I'd heard it. Guessing that James Asher was a fellow Meher Baba acolyte, given the "don't you worry, be happy" bit.Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12205542596513500104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-8315070645264947922015-08-03T17:06:10.288-04:002015-08-03T17:06:10.288-04:00Yep, James Asher's a real person. Townshend's overwhelming arrangement leaves little of Asher's identity intact.

VRAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-78186720555792818132015-08-03T14:12:32.279-04:002015-08-03T14:12:32.279-04:00According to the label, the song was written by J....According to the label, the song was written by J. Asher, as was the b-side "Breakfast in Naples" performed by Angie's Orchestra! Both arranged and produced by Townshend.

According to the backside of the sleeve it's a "James Asher Conception, Produced by Pete Townshend."

So, unless James Asher is a clever disguise, I don't think there is any question about who wrote the song.

Oh wait, according to Be Stiff: The Stiff Records Story by Richard Balls (Dick Balls? Really?): "The two songs on the record had been written by James Asher, then a staff writer for Pete Townshend's production and publishing company, Eel Pie."edwardnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-4046286373236295612015-08-03T12:28:54.010-04:002015-08-03T12:28:54.010-04:00Primordial Who with poppy kickin' lyrics!Primordial Who with poppy kickin' lyrics!DrBobnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8921382.post-30445032943577163892015-08-03T10:49:09.011-04:002015-08-03T10:49:09.011-04:00Not ungrateful.
