Politics & PowerPop.
That's it: I'm sold.
John Edwards is using The Romantics "What I Like About You" as a campaign song.
But, but, he got a haircut! And he's goodlooking. And his wife is sick, and she'll spread it to the whole country and we'll all be caught with our genes down!
Agree about the Speaker of the House. She looked a little comfortobale at first, more comfortable than I have seen her. Then the cheers start, and the song starts, and she shuts them down! Chris Rock would have been a better choice for your lead in man.
"What I like about you? You keep me warm at night."
Great, maybe perfect power pop song. But kinda like using Born to Run as the Jersey state song, or Born in the USA for Reagen (bet that pissed off Bruce) you get the feeling some people miss the point of the lyrics.

ReplyDeleteOr something.
