    Fuckin A! I have been on a bit of a Beefheart kick after downloading some neat bootlegs from Egg City Radio (the site formerly known as Post Punk Junk). Sure nuff n' yes I do.

    I believe that the first time I ever pogoed, it was to Bongo Fury. He's great. There would certainly be no Pere Ubu would it were not for the Captain.

    Great clip, KC. It almost looks the set from SNL. What show is this from?

    Not sure, but it does look like the SNL set. That's where I thought it was from.

    Righto about Pere Ubu. I came to CB through the music of Pere Ubu. I thank them for that profusely.

    That is absolutely brilliant -- I can't believe that was ever on TV.

    However, we must remember: Our generation had an existential decision to make -- whose Diddy Wah Diddy was better -- Beefheart's or the Remains!!!!

    There is also a vid for "Hot Head" on YouTube from the same show.

    Love the use of the mellotron on that song. "Open up a case of the punks!"

    BTW, tho' I love the Remains dearly, I have to go with CB's version just because of his Howlin' Wolf voice.
