Come to Think of It, the Word "Duck" is 3/4 Obscene....
Somebody doing to The Eagles what ALWAYS should have been done to The Eagles.
Actually, the funniest thing about this is that Joe Walsh probably thinks it's hilarious too.
I'm so not-familiar with the Eagles that I didn't realize this was a gag until the guy started singing in a duck voice. I thought, huh, guess people like this stuff ...
My favorite thing about the Eagles is that they introduced me to Joe Walsh - saw them on the Hotel California tour as a callow youth, Walsh played "Rocky Mountain Way" and "Walk Away", and I went out the next day and bought "The Smoker You Drink" and "James Gang Rides Again". I'm a sucker for his unique style of slide...
Well done. Maybe a Creaky Plan is in order for the bloated Dan concerts.
ReplyDeleteTom Jans used to loosen up his audiences as an opening act with "Avocado," another writer's parody of "Desperado."
If I had to guess, I'm pretty sure the song they're actually doing here is Rocky Mountain Way.
ReplyDeleteAnd say what you will -- that black John Lennon Rickenbacker Walsh is playing is very very cool.
Yeah, I think it's Rocky Mountain Way, too.
ReplyDeleteBut the quacking makes me laugh out loud. This StS guy is really clever. The KISS parody is fall-on-the-floor funny.

ReplyDeletenice that Joe Walsh put on his best pajamas for the folks (and their 12 year old daughters-watch it Henley!) who spent 400 bucks apiece for tickets.

ReplyDeleteThe Guitar playing is a bit weak, but the vocals are amazing!
ReplyDelete...who are these guys again?
Minor note ... Eagles tix do not go for even close to $400.
ReplyDeleteOkay, 200 bucks. Get out of those pajamas, Joe.
