I Don't Know If I Believe in God, But I Saw Sandy Denny Sing Once
Alison Krauss reminds me of her a bit. Not stylistically, or even tonally. They both have a clarity and purity to their voice that could only come from God!
I definitely don't believe in a guy with a beard in a big chair watching over things. And I never saw Sandy Denny perform. The closest I came was Steeleye Span in '72 opening for Jethro Tull touring "A Passion Play". Maddy Prior filled the San Diego Sports Arena with her voice.
She could sing Beowulf and give me chills.
ReplyDeleteSandy's the best.

I saw the same '72 tour at the L.A. Forum. The Span was magnificent!
