Before There Was Either Rock Or Roll (An Occasional Series): Special -- Oh, Words Fail Me....
Wow, haven't heard that in decades and it still sounds great.
That was from "Red, Hot and Blue," I believe, one of the earliest AIDS benefit projects? IIRC, the whole album was great (I had it on cassette a long time ago in a galaxy far far away).
Pretty sure that the opening scene was shot in Green-Wood Cemetery -- it looks very familiar.
I never saw the video for this one. Yes. It is a great CD. While this is the most fun track on it, there are some real jaw dropping performance by others: Annie Lennox, kd lang, and U2 (I bet that draws some howls here). Really worth a listen if you never got a chance.

Holy crackers! That was the coolest thing I've seen in awhile. When does the full length feature come out?
ReplyDeleteHahaa that cell phone!

ReplyDeleteHere is Annie Lennox. Wow. This one reminds me of how scary it was in the early 1990s.

When this came out I thought it was lame. Has aged really well.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget Kirsty MacColl and The Pogues with the medley of "Miss Otis Regrets" and "Just One of Those Nights" from that album.
