Hairway to Steven
For some odd reason, this resonated with me.
And yeah, it wasn't a hit, but god bless Ben Folds for writing this and spelling my name with a "v".
Great track. This album is so wonderful because almost no over-dubbing, click track. Just live. To prove the point, someone's cell phone goes off at 2:56 and they all laugh. But clearly, it was the best take - so it made the album. Smartass rock doesn't get any better than this.
ReplyDeleteI laughed out loud at the cartoon. Hilarious.
Not seen in the cartoon: "Oh, is that Washington crossing the Delaware on your arm, Lydia?"

ReplyDeleteI love that album.
ReplyDeleteMe too - he's had several good ones with lots of good songs, and he's pretty prolific.
ReplyDeleteI'm a SteVen also and love this song.
So I assume the other 2 are named "Bernadette" and "Gloria"?
ReplyDeleteSweet Jane
ReplyDeleteNot so sweet Martha Lorraine
ReplyDeleteSuzy Creamcheese and Dinah Moe-Humm?
