Classic Rock Makes Strange Bedfellows!
Okay, this is disturbing, but it made me laugh anyway.
BTW, I have no idea who's responsible for that photo, but my hat's off to them.
I should probably also add that not only do I dislike both those album covers, but I also dislike both those albums.
Ha! I like the Crimson lp, but definitely not a Gentle Giant fan. Saw them in concert as an opening act once and thought they were snooze-worthy (so the photo makes some sense).
Not a fan of Prog Rock?
ReplyDeleteI forget who said it, but it is nonetheless true --
ReplyDeleteProg rock exists solely to make you appreciate how great the real Beethoven and the real Yardbirds were.
Which is why Procol Harum are not Prog.

I believe that prog rock quote was from Langdon Winner, probably in the pages of "Rolling Stone" back in the late 60s/early 70s.
ReplyDeleteWinner sounds right, although I'm not sure about the date.
