ReplyDeleteProg rock exists solely to make you appreciate how great the real Beethoven and the real Yardbirds were.
Which is why Procol Harum are not Prog.

I believe that prog rock quote was from Langdon Winner, probably in the pages of "Rolling Stone" back in the late 60s/early 70s.

ReplyDeleteHa! I like the Crimson lp, but definitely not a Gentle Giant fan. Saw them in concert as an opening act once and thought they were snooze-worthy (so the photo makes some sense).
