An Early Clue to the New Direction: Special Absolutely Antipodean Edition

From 1979, please enjoy the fabulous Finn Brothers, Neil and Tim, in one of their earlier incarnations as Split Enz, and their wonderfully frenetic Farfisa-driven New Wave pop hit "I See Red."

As always, a coveted PowerPop No-Prize will be awarded to the first reader who gleans the clip's relevance to the theme of tomorrow's Weekend Listomania.

  7. Yes, great video.

So it's, as previoulsy nted, songs about color.

Or, it's songs with piano solos.

Or, perhaps it;s bands that whose names are spelled with fractured English/double entendres.

Perhaps something to do with bands that have split up? Since that's too broad a guess, I'll go with Best Band Reunions. Or Band Reunions That Should Occur. Or, if we're into vitriol as in last week's Listomania, Band Breakups That Should Occur.
