Annals of Our Noble Democracy (An Occasional Series)

Hey -- it's no sillier than any of the choices in the Republican primary. Granted, Rick's not an American citizen, but then neither is Ted Cruz.

  4. i saw rick astley on tv recently - it was a "giants of the '80s" or some such show held outside in england in the last few years - he sang well, and was appropriately grateful for the success he'd had - also performing were the "Dance Hall Days" guys - the sax solo on that song was great

and speaking of our next president, before yesterday's primaries they were talking on cable tv about how bernie was going to fall further behind hillary - as it happened, he won more delegates than she did last night - i haven't turned on the tv yet today, but i know they will be saying, "sure, he gained a bit, but at this rate he won't catch her"

whether or not bernie catches her, he is determined to be the energizer bunny - he's not going to quit - whether or not he is nominated (more likely not, admittedly, but right now there's still a chance) i hope this is the birth of the democratic socialist party of america - long may it wave - i'm hillary's age but i hope i have a decade or maybe two left to fight for truth, justice, and the potentially sentient way

may the Creative Forces of the Universe stand beside us, and guide us, through the Night with the Light from Above - metaphorically speaking

  5. I wish Bernie would start referring to himself as an FDR Democrat, which is what he is.
