You Know, You Really Have to Wonder Why Some Version of This Song Hasn't Been Used in an Infiniti Ad

From 2005, and the Rubber Soul tribute album This Bird Has Flown...

...please enjoy my all-time favorite punky girl group The Donnas and their spirited cover of "Drive My Car."

BTW, there's a free download link for the whole album, which as you can see has some interesting participants...

...over HERE.

Alas, I haven't been able to open the Mega file and extract the songs; if anybody can figure out how to do that and would be kind enough to share the album with me, please let me know.

The music is note-note to the original. The vocals are outstanding. Thanks for posting...

The Mona Lisa twins do a good take on this

I do a medley of "Norwegian Wood," "Girl," and "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away." I call it Three Love Songs By John Lennon.

What are your thoughts on Sleater-Kinney?

The Donnas cut is the best one on that album, by a wide margin.

It was a sad day when the Donnas forsook their Punk roots and became another metal band.

Hi Steve,

Think I can help with the files.

So the tracks were burned as high-quality FLAC files, then compressed using RAR sofware.

In order to listen to them, you must first uncompress them. I'd recommend using the free Winrar software package, which is available here: http://www.rarlab.com/

Once uncompressed, you'll have the album in the FLAC format, which you may or may not be able to play using your computer/device. If you can't play them, you'll need to convert them to MP3 or WAV files using different free software.

Here I'd recommend using Audacity, available via: www.audacityteam.org

Don't look at this as a giant pain in the ass; look at it as a learning adventure! :)
