Edward: it was nice for a while, but eventually got so annoying that I gave up writing about music altogether.
Kudos to that guy and to the station that gave him 4 1/2 minutes for that segment.
On thing he got wrong, I think, is the comment about Brian “penning the lyrics”.

Amazing. I work in local TV News and the typical music story is brief and cliched. This fellow just gave a 200-level breakdown that most reports on any subject would benefit from.
