Come to think of it, I'm not sure I've ever seen a picture of myself which I thought fairly represented the color of my own eyes (a dark, green/blue/gray amalgam, but with a ring of gold around the center, the way brown-eyed people have), so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
We were waiting to vote on election day when the good-looking kid upstairs, after fourteen years, turned to me and said, "You have the weirdest-colored eyes. They're cool." I guess this is high praise coming from someone who desperately wants me to let her get cat's-eye contacts.
