Uh, a certain '80s band, featuring a certain bass player whose name rhymes with Sleeve Nimels, can now be heard covering a song from the comeback album by the best Liverpool band that WASN'T managed by Brian Epstein.
Over at Floor Your Love, as it turns out.

Very clever cover. :-)
Is that Woody Allen wearing Lennon glasses on the left?
:)
Nice tune, nice clip.
On the live clip: I'm just astonished to hear all those people gabbing through "It's Too Late". For two reasons. 1. I can't believe that your band was so low-volume that people were actually able to carry on a conversation while it was playing (a good thing). 2. These people don't appreciate that they're in a rock club, it's presumably the 80s or 90s, and the band is actually doing a good song and playing it well. The foolish ingrates. (Flowers is my favorite Stones album. I know that's perverse, but that's just the way it is.)
Cool cover.
I was listening to Flowers last night.
"Love's Melodies" by the Searchers (where "It's Too Late" appears) was The Floor Model's manual (or at least the foundational chapters).
Did anybody out there see the Searchers/Any Trouble UK tour back in the early Thatcher days? Would love to hear about that.
