Jeebus, what a great song.
And he played guitar on Blonde on Blonde, too.

Don't forget "Games People Play." That was my introduction to him. This is the first I'm hearing of this...sad. How did he die?
And his albums are remarkably consistent.
Last time I went to New Orleans for the Ponderosa Stomp, he was scheduled to perform. I was thrilled! Then, he canceled. Must have been ill. Even his deeper album tracks are worth exploring. Great songwriter.
Cashbox says he died of heart failure.
Of course, ultimately, doesn't everybody?
great, great talent. And, John Lennon fans, he was the first guy to use the word "karma" in a pop song (Walk A Mile in My Shoes).
That crazy de-tuned guitar intro on "Chain of Fools" is him also.
wasn't he was the electric piano on Mr. Tambourine Man? Its sort of merged into the bass and together has amazingly echo-y effect, perfect counterpart to the guitar chimes. it was a brilliant and mostly unappreciated bit of the recording.
