My New Favorite Song

Tim Wheeler and "Feels Like Summer" -- from the Shaun the Sheep movie.

I must confess I was heretofore unfamiliar with this guy, but as of now he's got my vote, I'll tell you that for free.

Saw the movie and loved the song...especially the version sung by the sheep!

What a pretty power pop song. Makes me think of a sentence that begins with, "If there were only justice in this world ... ."

Isn't this the same Wheeler from the band Ash, among whose many albums are a LOT of great songs? And I have a strange Christmas album called "This Is Christmas" by Emmy The Great and Tim Wheeler, with the Emmy being Emma-Lee Moss, who at one time played or sang with Noah And The Whale. Tracks on "This Is Christmas" include JESUS THE REINDEER and ZOMBIE CHRISTMAS.

Another thing. After listening to FEELS LIKE SUMMER two times, I was reminded of SHE'S SO HIGH by Tal Bachman (of Randy's issue), another very very pretty power pop song.

Ash is, IMHO, one of the most under-appreciated acts of the last twenty years. A certain Bono once said, If Brian Wilson had a punk band that would be Ash. And for once, I kinda agree with him.

Incredibly melodic pop-punk which put the Green Days of this world to shame.

This track therefore sounds unusually "soft" for Mr. Wheeler. Nice nonetheless...

Tim Wheeler is indeed Ash's main man.

If you haven't heard any Ash tunes, I recommend you start by making a beeline to "Shining Light". It's a song that improves every time you hear it.

"Burn Baby Burn" gives me a '90's hangover.

I think I'm on the same page as VR on this.
