Okay, so as I mentioned yesterday, I am not a Queen fan (for reasons that I'll get into in depth at a later date).
That said, I would like to go on record as agreeing with Dave Grohl, who famously observed that "Brian May is an awesome guitarist."
And I would like to offer, as proof, this little snippet of Mr. May's work. He comes in at the 1:24 point in the video below.
Like the man said -- an awesome guitarist.

His guitar genius has been evident for 45 years now to those of us who were listening. Supposedly, he built the damn thing, too.
And he doesn’t use a guitar pick. He plays and always has with a small English coin. I am not making this up.
I'd imagine that contributes to the uniqueness of his sound. His playing is immediately recognizable. Nobody else sounds like him.
