Eighties synthpop...devoid of soul in general. At least Kraftwork in the seventies had something sinister and devious. But "Take On Me" was elevated forever by a striking video that was a technical tour 'de force for its time. That brings us to this performance of the song. It's for the kool-aid drinking 80's never ending journey crowd. Removed from the song's raison d'ĂȘtre and recast as the feckless ballad it is it almost laughable. That Per guys glasses don't help either.
