I must admit, I was totally unaware of these guys until yesterday, but the above is probably the most kickass Paul Simon cover I've ever heard or even contemplated.

Oh my, you should get to know Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. It won't take you long to realize that they do everything pretty much this same way. And they will cover any song and make it sound just like this one. Of course the weirder it would be to play a song this way, the more likely they are to play it.
I also love the Gimmes, but for rocking Paul Simon covers, I'm not sure anyone beats the Coolies:

reminds me of Husker Du's cover of "Love is All Around."
Initially it reminds me of
Green Day

Forget about the music (momentarily at least), this is the best satirical name for any for profit motive I've ever seen. Pretty much sums up the success of Steve Jobs. Beyond the moniker poking a big stick in the eye of the "you only think of yourself" pontificators (i think this includes my mom and my wife strangely over the course of almost 50-years...ahem) there's the cover art with the band looking like The Five Stooges go to Maui. I would be a big fan without ever hearing the album, in fact I'm inspired to start my own band
