Fantastic Cat? Yeah, I Would Agree!

As you may have heard, a certain Shady Dame and I welcomed a new furry friend into our home on Saturday.

And in honor of his arrival, please enjoy estimable power pop rockers Fantastic Cat -- featuring wise guy New York City raised front man/singer songwriter Brian Dunne -- and their hilarious video "Nobody's Coming to Get You."

Ah, irony is so ironic.

PS: Given that our new feline buddy was rescued in the Bronx, we have named him Mickey. As in Mantle.

Mickey looks like he's ready to hit one out of the ballpark.

Great song and a fabulous video! I love the description of it on YouTube:

"Opening credits to the 1993 NBC sitcom "Nobody's Coming To Get You." Critical reception to the series was lukewarm, with TV Guide calling it "more miss than hit" and Reader's Digest declaring that it "fucking sucks." Though the show was ultimately canceled during the first commercial break, the series did help launch the career of indie rock "supergroup" Fantastic Cat, who scored the show's excruciatingly long introduction."

HA!
And I LOL'd at the end credit.

Having watched CBS Sat.AM for many
years,we have always been disappointed with their musical
guests . This changed this past Sat. .
Finally a band that could deliver
melody and bandsmanship.
Fiona - a trade off of vocals - great touch with its Richard Emanuel inspired keyboards.
Armageddon- a Dylan nod.
Completely sold out on Amazon - what does that tell you.

PS - Steve, I rescued our Christmas cat,,it's name Twixt (candy bar)

We have 2 cats; a rescue and a kitten adoptee. The kitten instantly bonded and is an absolute delight. The rescue has taken years to reach the same level of trust and affection. Which makes it all that much the sweeter.
Look forward to hearing about Mickey.
