I hope you're hitting as many pubs as you can. (you don't have to be a drinker; they're fun and often beautiful).
Try ... The Harp. The Nags Head. Churchill Arms. The Blackfriar. The Grapes. Old Queen's Head. Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese. Ye Olde Mitre Tavern, etc, etc.
But best of all will be your local, the one around the corner from where you're staying. It won't appear on any lists.
