My granddaughter is struggling with this problem right now. She took a year deciding whether to play left or right handed. All true!

I just finished reading Lenny Kaye's great semi-memoir ("Lightning Striking")...in a passing comment he says - and I paraphrase - that Gerry Marsden wore his guitar high across his chest in the Liverpool manner. The last part surprised me.

As a non musician I'm going to ask: Does it make a difference holding the guitar higher or lower?

Keef used to make fun of Lennon's guitar being up so high. I tend to agree.

Not really. For most it's a comfort thing. Of course, a low-slung axe looks a lot cooler...
