But here, as promised, a little taste of our just completed adventure.
Those hairy Highland Cattle (seen during a day trip tour of the countryside we took) are more or less the National Animals of Scotland now, and at this point they're pretty much farmed strictly as pets.
In any case, trust me -- they're absolutely hilarious in person.

spouse and self are working our way through the "Shetland" murder mystery series - picturesque islands, shocking depths of human depravity as the real killers are revealed, hardworking, humane detective as the central character - someone to root for, which I what I like in my shows these days

Forty five years ago, I was in Scotland with my then-girlfriend, and we never happened upon these creatures, to my great disappointment (I made up for it on a subsequent trip). I mentioned that there were cattle with long red hair in Scotland, and said girlfriend not only didn't believe me, she was angry with me for thinking she'd fall for such a joke. I wonder if she ever found out I was telling the truth...
And speaking of Scotland check out King Creosote just heard it on Tidal Music today and album was called KC Rules OK 2025 Remaster.
