Computer trouble and old age go hand in hand. Find a 12yr old and bribe him/her with whatever.
As for your back; get thee to the Y and do many laps daily with one of those foam boards. No actual swimming required.

We unfortunately now live in South Carolina and every Surgeon here wants the hell out and move to that hospital
