From 1966, please enjoy the great Marvin Gaye with Kim Weston, Marvin's Motown duet partner number two (after the ill-fated departure of Mary Wells to another label but before the tragic death of Tammi Terrell) and their infernally catchy proof of the theorem that one is the loneliest number,"It Takes Two."
As always, a coveted PowerPop No-Prize will be awarded the first reader who gleans the clip's relevance to the theme of tomorrow's Weekend Listomania.

Male and female duet sex songs? Or songs with the reference of 2 in them? One of my faves is I Can't Believe You Love Me with Tammi.
Songs that contemplate saying either hello or goodbye to loneliness?
There isn't much better pop music than those 60's Marvin Gaye sides. If "Ain't That Peculiar" comes on the radio, I'm gonna stop whatever I'm doing for 2-1/2 minutes.
Anyway.
Songs that have a number in the title or lyrics.
Nah, too easy.
Songs with numbers in the title?
I was also going with the numbers theme but since that's taken I'll say...songs with lots of tambourine shakin'.
No, no no no and no.
Obviously, the title is the clue. But it's not the number two, per se.
:-)
Songs about starting over, ie: A second take?
Second helpings of food, ha! Motown duets? Tango songs (kidding again)
No, and no.
:-)
I'm giggling, sorry. This is a really good one...
Okay, a clue.
Two of something in a song.
Two meanings?
Double entendres?
Duets
Duality?
No, no and no again.
God, I really like this one...
:-)
