A Picture is Worth 1000 Words, Many of Them Frightening

Keith Richards poses for a high-end luggage ad. Which seems only appropriate, given that his skin actually resembles the sort of thing you find on the better grades of luggage.

Is it just me, or is he looking even more lizard-ish than usual in that picture?

In any case, here's the great Annie Liebovitz working the photo shoot.

For some reason, I'm reminded of the old joke Jack Douglas ended My Brother Was an Only Child with: "This book is bound in old Moroccan leather. So if you orld Moroccan grandfather is missing..."

And if you want you luggage stolen, buy Louis Vuitton.

He looks a little like Adrian Peterson in that ad where they made his skin look like the surface of a football.

Dude, Keef's pushing 70. When I was a kid people in their 40s looked as such.

To me, the look on Keith's face says "contractual obligation".

Or putting it another way: Uncle Keef doesn't look as if he'd like you to buy whatever he's been asked to sell you. I see no enthusiasm in that face whatsoever.

Looks like a glass of Mountain Dew over there on the left. Keith: "Are ya done yet, Annie?"

I think Liebovitz phoned it in here. To me Richards has a fascinating face, and he needs to be doing something besides looking away from the camera in apparent boredom.
