I couldn't get to sleep last night, and I'm not doing an early rock reference here. I was scared out of my wits after hearing Trump's latest speech.
You know, I was actually gonna put up the Beatles' "Happiness is a Warm Gun" today, but I can't even make that stupid joke. In fact, I'm almost embarrassed by the graphic above, which doesn't remotely do justice to the sheer capital E Evil that occurred yesterday.
Donald Fucking Trump advocated for Hillary's assassination. Period, full stop, end of story.
The Republican party has to find a legal way to get that sociopath off their ticket and they need to do it right now.
Is it too early for me to start drinking while I wait?

It's never too early to start drinking. Or too late for that matter.
I like how much of the media are trying to spin this as he was joking. That's complete nonsense. He wasn't joking as he has no sense of humor.
In law and political speech, plausible deniability refers to instances where there’s insufficient evidence to connect a statement or action to its results. With Trump, and because of his layers-upon-layers of entitlement, narcissism, hucksterism and passive-aggressive behavior, his statements, like Tuesday’s call to “Second Amendment people,” are so transparent as to constitute a whole new class of statements, which may be Trump’s single greatest achievement.
Trump’s carnival-barking empty-sleeve statements constitute instances of IMplausible deniability.
When someone laughs nervously following after claim after claim, you don’t need a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology to understand that he or she doesn’t believe what was just said.
When someone adds “I don’t know” to a preposterous claim, and under the spotlight of a Presidential campaign, such as the statement Trump made Tuesday in North Carolina, “If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks … although the Second Amendment people — maybe there is, I don’t know,” you don’t need that Ph.D. to see Trump DOES know what he's saying and WHY he said it, too. C’mon.
And for Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan to call Trump’s statement “a joke gone wrong” is just as implausible. Shut up, Ryan. Just shut the hell up.
What an asswipe, that Trump.
With all of this ridiculous and implausible postmortem spin taking place, I was pleasantly surprised to see Bryan Cranston hitting the proverbial nail on head via the Twitter: "Trumps hypothetical was if Hillary was already president. Message was clear. He was pondering assassination. #Enough" Amen brother Cranston. #Enough indeed.
Incomprehensible. Disgusting. Horrifying. There aren't enough words.
Even it he had been joking (and he wasn't), anyone with real political chops, or ethics for that matter, would have never said anything like that for fear that it would be misinterpreted.
And, on top of everything else, he clearly has no idea how the process works. Presidents don't "appoint" justices --- they nominate them, the Senate (theoretically) gives them a hearing, and then they vote.
Obviously the charm offensive is working.
Don't give a fuck about politics. At all. I don't care about either candidate. Only thing clear to me is that one of them is getting smeared and pounced on and another is getting whitewashed. I find that kinda interesting.
I ain't losing any sleep over this nonsense. What logical, intelligent person would think that a person running for president would call for the assassination of his competitor? I mean really. We live in truly twisted times.

Are you out of your fucking mind?
Jeebus fuckng keerist.
Vicki-
Simels is right, you have gone off the rails this time.
Yes we know Trump was joking but in a nation of over 300 million people there are going to be 100,000 folks who will think someone should shot Clinton or even Trump himself. You lived through the assassinations of the 60's, let's not ever relive more of the same.
Also Trump has an extremely small dick so he over compensates with shooting jokes. As they say "smaller the dick, bigger the gun". That's why he's so interested in the nuclear option.

I think you've milked that small dick for all it's worth:-)
I don't believe in the boogeyman. Partisans willfully misunderstand when it suits their agenda. It's a bore. I'd rather do some smack and skydive.

We've tried that tactic several times, and it has failed. I've never seen anyone who is so in love with her own opinions ... even on politics, which she says she doesn't have an opinion on, but then proceeds to express one.
She's a libertarian crackpot, that we can be sure of. Fortunately, she probably can't be bothered to actually vote.
