It's "Bob Dylan Covering Songs You Wouldn't Necessarily Expect Him to Cover" Week!: Part the Third

From 2002, his Bobness does...

Oh hell. Words fail me.

One of Dylan's better bands. They get the Stones live sound correct for the tune.

Bob is, well...Bob.

Works for me.

Maybe Dylan can do a three disc release of Stones covers. That would work a lot better for me then any more of the America Songbook weirdness.

Agree with Billy B. about the band. How can one go wrong with Charlie Sexton and Larry Campbell on guitar with the long serving Tony Garnier and David Kemper as the rhythm section?

But I would say that Bob is, well ....shitty. He is capable of better, but he just doesn't give a shit in a live setting. He delivers one half-hearted performance after another. His guitar and keyboard playing are atrocious. On occasion, however, he'll break through. Maybe a song, or two, or three in the set will stand out, sort of:-) So digging his backing musicians is the main reason I've been going for the last 30 years. He's had some great bands. The Grateful Dead, notwithstanding.
