And speaking of Patti Smith as I sort of was yesterday, I'd forgotten how kind of adorable she was.

I always assumed that this appearance on SNL was the inspiration for Radner's Candy Floss character, and not in a nice way.

Her SNL performance wrecked, delighted, inspired my whole group of friends. We were 15 and she was a god, powerful, brave, awesome.
