That being the case, and because music speaks a million words, please enjoy -- from the 1982 EP of the same name -- wise guy folk/metal/punk rocker Tonio K and his cautionary Ritchie Valens remake "La Bomba."
Which seems a) relevant and b) has a good beat and you can dance to it.
Ah, yes, 1982. The Reagan Era. When nobody was worried about Republicans blowing up the world.
Tomorrow: a somewhat more profound musical exegis of the same themes we've been discussing.

I certainly hope your review of Tonio K's "Life In The Foodchain" makes it to your book.
Had to buy it the very day I read it. Still have the magazine and and record to this day.
Never would have ever heard of him without it.
Still love that record.
Thx.
Vince
Can anyone provide a translation?

Thanks, now I'll listen along as I read the lyrics.
So simple, even for me. (I hope!)

Thanks Steve. Your review of Tonio K’s first album was amazing and I immediately bought the record. Loved it and played it incessantly. Then bought his second album (after your review) and have been a huge fan ever since. Thank you Steve! You turned me on to Tonio K and so many other bands!!
