From 2011, please enjoy two generations of All Mod Cons, i.e. Paul Weller and Pete Townshend with a gorgeous performance of one of my favorite early Who songs.
I must confess I've always thought it really cool that these guys get on so well. I should also add that I have a tendency to forget just how good an acoustic player Pete is, and this clip is a nice reminder of that.
Have a great weekend, everybody!!!

A great song from a great album.
Wow! Never saw this performance. Brilliant.
I was sold on Pete's acoustic playing after that version of Won't Get Fooled Again" with John Williams, from the Secret Policeman's Ball.
Sal — couldnt agree more about that Townshend/Williams duet.
Also really Townshend's acoustic guitar playing on "I'm Free", from TOMMY.
Chris E.
A martini and this video is a great way to finish a Sunday.
Worth two views and two martinis! Simply brilliant. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I've always liked Weller best when he was paying direct homage to his forbears and this is no exception.
