As good as this is, it pales compared to the original opening montage and theme to TV's "The Avengers" composed and conducted by Laurie Johnson, still breathing and smiling at age 93. When you (i.e. S.S.) wrote in Stereo Review in 1994 that the Perry Mason theme was, "...for my money the greatest piece of music written in the last hundred years," I couldn't quibble. Now I'm quibbling, but not about Diana Rigg. She really got me.
