Goddamnit all to hell.
He's probably best known in this country for having produced the first five AC/DC albums (starring his kid brothers), but his real claim to fame is the stuff he did with The Easybeats in the 60s.
And if there's a better rock-n-roll record than this one...
...I for one have never heard it.
This death shit is really starting to piss me off.

Damn. I love The Easybeats, and Marcus Hook Roll Band is fun, too, if you can find them. Then there's Flash and the Pan...
No fucking way. I refuse to believe he’s gone. He and Harry Vanda created some of the best and my favorite rock and roll ever!
This sucks. Getting old sucks! (Of course the alternative is worse.)

Friday On My Mind was the first single I bought. Heard it on the car radio several times while driving around Cleveland one day in '66 with my Uncle Dave. Thought Stevie was singing "Gonna head for Nimbo City".
Had no idea where the band hailed from, but ended up migrating to Australia in '74 (thanks Dad) and found out. Kismet!
That is Rock N Roll.
"Sorry" does it for me.

Re: “Good Time” - Everything on the track is absolute perfection. Stevie Wright’s vocals, Marriot’s backing vocals, Hopkin’s keyboards, Snowie’s drumming and Vanda’s guitar solo are perfect. George’s rhythm guitar sounds like Little Richard’s saxophone horn section. The song is about nothing really but is the perfect vehicle for this Rock & Roll explosion.
Magic ‼️⚡️
