Burn, Baby, Burn!

Jimi Hendrix sets his guitar on fire at The Monterey Pop Festival, Summer of Love, 1967.

A coveted PowerPop No-Prize will be awarded to the alert reader who can divine this clip's relevance to the theme of tomorrow's Weekend Listomania.

BTW -- I could be wrong, but I believe we've just set the record for the most posts here in a single day.

BTW, the Onion's AV Club had an amusing feature More Talk, Less Rock: 15 Masters Of Onstage Banter.

Check it out.

Best Troggs cover?

Kid -- that Onion article was amusing.

I'm glad they included Lou Reed's Take No Prisoners -- always thought it was one of the funniest albums I ever heard.

My copy unfortunately was lost in the Great Seeping Water Leak of '03 that destroyed most of my vinyl from N-S.

Gummo,

I feel your pain. I had a pinhole leak in a copper pipe in my basement that destroyed about 400 discs. I was pretty distraught over it.
