From 1978, here's the irrepressible and charmingly monikered Stiff Records star Wreckless Eric with his classic "Whole Wide World."
BTW, I just discovered that Eric is now married to the lovely Amy Rigby. That's adorable.
In any case, as always, a coveted PowerPop No-Prize will be awarded the first reader who gleans the clip's relevance to tomorrow's Weekend Listomania.
Although I gotta tell you -- I don't think anybody's gonna get this one.
Heh heh.

I'm definitely stealing that one.
But no...
Songs with world wide scope?
Good bands from the late 70s that weren't punk or new wave?
Trey
Rocknrollers who marry each other?
Songs with only two chords?
The legendary label edition?
Songs whose initials can be used as part of a URL (WWW, HTTP, COM. etc.)?
Songs covered by The Monkees?
two chords?
mbowen beat me to it.
Bad videos?
All the above since the alliteration one are brilliant, but...
NO!!!!
And I'm sorry, I'd leave another clue but I can't think of one that wouldn't totally give it away.
:-)
Jeez, Wreckless Eric just played a little bar in SF!
I'll take a shot (though I don't know if he was, but since they were both on Stiff): Nick Lowe produced artists?
One more shot: songs that mention Tahiti?
And where's my Gravatar???
