...as glimpsed on the arm of the proprietor of this here blog at the big Shoes/Paul Collins show in Brooklyn last Saturday night.

More details on that little shindig will be forthcoming soon, of course.

I don't have any tattoos, but I said to my wife just yesterday that if I were to get one, it would be the image of a 45 adapter. They're cool looking, and they have a particular significance for those of us who are, uh, maybe not so young.
Trendy or not - no tattoos for me. More permanent than anything I'm willing to commit to. I'll just stick with exotic piercings and belly button jewelry. That's about as daring as I get. The 45 adapter isn't too far off from the Traffic logo, though.
I can't wait to hear about the show. I love the Beat. Haven't seen them in years. Wanna hear who's in the band. They used to be soooo fuckin' good. The perfect combo of melody and balls.
Loved the Nerves the too few times I saw them as well. Pete Case, Paul Collins and Jack Lee. Shit, that was a talented band. Dug the Breakaways live too during their brief period.
I would imagine that if Paul had any kind of band, he would have blown the Shoes away. But I've never seen the Shoes live. So who knows. Please tell us.
