The official video to Jody Miller's 1965 "Queen of the House." The answer record to the droll "King of the Road" and who thought it was a good idea to do THAT?
Miller was easy on the eyes, obviously...
...and she was actually a pretty good singer (she recorded the original version of "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me"). But this video is...shall we say, problematic.
Let's just hope original songwriter Roger Miller (no relation) got numerous fat royalty checks for it.

I know, pretty weird, but what a hoot. I don't think Wendy liked it, for obvious reasons.
At the very least, it explains why feminism was a historical imperative.
:-)
The Race is On is even "better"....

"Girls" provided by The Pink Pussycat, one of the most liberated strip joints in L.A. at the time. What those girls could do with ordinary household items.
Tips on horses to play? Hmmm.
Love Roger's tune, this not so much.
Home of the Brave was better.

Never saw this video clip before, and as far as answer songs go, the only things I remember about QUEEN was thinking that NO answer song could ever ever EVER be more literal and lamer than this one, and that later in the same year (1965), DAWN OF CORRECTION (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkGZKOgfOi4) became a minor hit. "You miss all the good in your evaluation, what about the things that deserve commendation? Where there once was no cure, there's (pause) vaccination."
Oy!
"Woo hoo! Take it off baby!!! Shake that thing for me one more time."

How did "George Takei" get in this?:-) Multiple sexy strippers and one gay Asian dude. Go figure.
