Thursday's Moment of Creepy

New York City, 2004: The former Stefani Germanotta dances with her dad at her high school graduation.

I'm sorry folks, but this woman has more issues than National Geographic.

Obviously, she thinks he's dreamy.

A weird one indeed, and not a particularly good looking woman either. Don't know how she's done it. I wish I could've made millions of dollars in 3-4 years dishing out musical crapola. I guess all the poor musicians have some integrity.

As Peter Blegvad famously said of Madonna -- "a teaspoon of talent."

I honestly had no idea who it was. How sad is that? Or perhaps I'm fortunate.

It looks like a shot from one of those mega-creepy "purity balls." Time to go take 17 showers. Thanks for posting this, Steve. Really.

Actually, I don't begrudge her the celebrity or the bucks.

I find her "I'm a serious artiste" shtick irksome, however.

And you cropped the picture so you can't see how her shoulder is leaning in towards him. No question she has issues.

My word is semess.

For those who may not have seen it, the most deserved musical parody in years...

Don't all yell at me at once, but I think there's something Warholesque and/or Bowie-esque about Lady Gaga. She's totally in on her own shtick -- that's why she does it so well. She may have issues, but compared to Britney Spears, she's Andrew Weil (that may have made more sense when I thought it than when I typed it).

Plus she stuck it to Target, unlike, say Aerosmith and all the other arena-rock suck ups. If all the suburbanites who disagreed with Target's politics boycotted them . . . they'd still be a humongous retailer. So I give Gaga points for that.
