It works for me.
I adore Dolly the person but I’ve never been more than a fan when it comes to her music.

This was on her album - Rockstar.
In my life I have never seen so many musicians both famous and not so in my life.The list is staggering.
Dolly's voice is an acquired taste. But, that said- instantly recognizable; she is her own brand. And the songs; even the schmaltzy ones, have proven very malleable for other artists to interpret. Best tribute for me - in the Folk-Americana vein; "Just Because I'm a Woman" - Songs of Dolly Parton. Great mostly unknow singer-songwriters.

Any chance she did a duet with Ringo on "Octopus's Garden"? I'm pretty sure it would have worked!

No but she did do a cover of Free Bird with Ronnie Van Zant, Artimus Pyle & Gary Rossington. Credit wise they were listed directly under Sir Paul 😉
