An Early Clue to the New Direction: Special Absolutely Antipodean Edition

From 1979, please enjoy the fabulous Finn Brothers, Neil and Tim, in one of their earlier incarnations as Split Enz, and their wonderfully frenetic Farfisa-driven New Wave pop hit "I See Red."

As always, a coveted PowerPop No-Prize will be awarded to the first reader who gleans the clip's relevance to the theme of tomorrow's Weekend Listomania.

Best song by a group with family members?

Thanks for the video. Quite a vivid slice of that era.

Yes, great video.

So it's, as previoulsy nted, songs about color.

Or, it's songs with piano solos.

Or, perhaps it;s bands that whose names are spelled with fractured English/double entendres.

Here's a hint: It has something to do with the band name.

Perhaps something to do with bands that have split up? Since that's too broad a guess, I'll go with Best Band Reunions. Or Band Reunions That Should Occur. Or, if we're into vitriol as in last week's Listomania, Band Breakups That Should Occur.

Close enough, my friend. Hair it is.

Your coveted PowerPop No-Prize is wending its way to you via planaria patrol even as we speak!
