Image of the Day

From 1962 -- During one of the first live performances of his hit “Monster Mash," Bobby "Boris" Pickett is backed by a then-unknown teen combo called The Beach Boys."

Words fail me. Seriously -- has anybody ever seen this one before? I know I haven't.

I believe the Beach Boys covered Monster Mash on their first live album. Now I see why.

That is too cool.

Back in 2001 shortly after we adopted our daughter we took her to a fall "pumpkin patch". got a lot of video, our first real family event together. With an old super 8 camcorder I put a video together. needed a sound tract. Bobby Picket had a web site, so I order a CD of Monster Mash. Came a week later with a personally signed CD plus a nice letter along with. Made a great sound track, and he made a great impression.
