Simels sucks!
Holy crap - simels has a non-Eschaton outlet for his rantings now?!
The world shudders.
Oh-oh, dissertation on the cultural implications of the lack of non-white musical acts on the left blogosphere coming up, I bet. Go for it!
O my god, it is too much of teh cool in one place. Arrrrghghgghghgh!!!!! I am not worthy!

This is the perfect pairing. I am seriously in awe. It's about time you started blogging, simels.

Halloooooooo!!!
About freaking time. IMHO.
*checks the un-updated "about me" section of the blog*
Simels regrets the error.
Hi ho, Steverino!
Not my doing, Tom. steve has to set that up himself. I guess I should change the paypal button, however.
An astonishing turn of events.
My life went off the rails for seven or eight months--or maybe just onto the third rail--so I've been away for awhile (and not in the idyllic Pet Sounds sense, either). Now I'm back to check on old powerpop-pal NY Mary and what do I see?!
I think I'll have the strength to grade that stack of papers after all.
Steve, you are and have always been my favorite rock critic--and that's high praise, given that some real luminaries are in my pantheon (Lester Bangs, Greil Marcus, Nik Tosches, Peter Guralnik, just to drop a few). You're the only part of my then-20-years of Stereo Reviews that I ripped out and moved to California with me in 1992, and then back to Virginia in 1994. I think I have a nearly complete run of "Simels Reports." All I lack (cough cough) is that book of yours.
Welcome seems far too mild a word, but you'd be too spooked if I threw my arms around you, so, Welcome.
