Hey there. Just randomly found Gregory Fleeman's obit today when I went down a musical rabbit hole on the internets. At first I thought, no, it's gotta be a joke. But then I came to your blog (which I only found recently) to look at your January posts. So, it's sadly true. Saw Gregory Fleeman and the Fleewomen, it's gotta be early to mid 1980s, at either the Bottom Line or Kenny's Castaways, I can't remember. Some great songs that night: Slippery When Wet ("Protect me, Bridge! Protect Me!"); Clothes Make the Man ("...machines make the clothes, man makes machines, clothes make the man...") and his seminal Zimbabwe Moon. Were any of these ever recorded? Oh, lordy. This planet is a sadder place without the inimitable Mr. Fleeman. He was the party, indeed.
