Mad Dogs and Englishmen
About to brave the heat and head into NYC for a party celebrating the release of Goodbye 20th Century: A Biography of Sonic Youth by my close personal friend David Browne.
It's a really good book, but trust me -- there's no way I'd be going in this weather if I hadn't promised to get a copy autographed for Thers.

David Browne, author of "Dream Brothers", biography of Tim Buckley and his son, Jeff Buckley? Husband met him and chatted a bit at an Aimee Mann/Michael Penn concert in NYC in the bitter cold of early 2002 after his book was published. "Such a nice young man", he said just now when I asked him to recall the event.
